Kim Terpening Music Career History
- (1979 to 2000) Managed and owned and performed in a full time all girl Bluegrass and Country Band. The Wildwood Girls were an international, full time, touring band which played for the U.S O (United States Armed Forces Overseas) in over 20 countries, Dollywood, and numerous Bluegrass Festivals. WWG also worked for Bill Monroe the Father of Bluegrass Music for 10 years at his festivals and Grand Old Opry events.
Band started in 1979 as the WildWood Pickers, Name changed to Wildwood Girls in early 80’s…all girl band.
- (March 2004 to Present) Banjo Picker in Chambergrass Duo. Bluegrass & Classical Duo
- (August 2013 to present) Banjo Picker in Nine Pound Hammers Traditional Bluegrass Band.
- Music Teacher part time 1977 to 2008
- Music Teacher Full time 2008 to present, working with over 40 students weekly.
- (February 2013) Opened Walls Of Time Acoustic Music School in Roanoke Rapids NC. Open 5 days a week offering private lessons on Banjo, Guitar, Mandolin , upright Bass and beginning fiddle. Weekly jam classes available.
- Kim also teaches at a pilot location for music lessons: Blount Bridger House located at 130 Bridger street Tarboro NC. Teaching there every Wednesday morning and every other Saturday.
- (2003 to present) Started on-line music company called Fifth Child Music. Providing original supplies for original musicians. Holds 2 US patents: “The No Strap” and “The Jam Stand” sold at Fithchild.com
